You asked me to give you a feedback after we got back from Spain: Can be summed up in one word: Fantastic!
But I'll try to be a little more specific:
Yes! The house is ON the beach
- Perfect for all of us!
- If you want to be nearer the beach - buy a boat
The kids had a wonderful time:
- My daughter learned to swim this year
- All the kids woke me up early one morning demanding that we went for a swim - followed by a "kids breakfast" on the terrace
- They have added to your collection of "beach-toys" (water guns, buckets and so on - we put them in the basement together with the rest of your beach collection)
- Can't think of a more perfect place for families with kids
The surroundings
- Peke Park - great for the kids - and for the parents - let them bounce around in a jumping castle for 15 minutes around midnight and they really fall asleep when they come home (by the way: Pekes is now a official currency in our families)
- La Manga is a great place to have a holiday
- Short walking distance to the Mediterranean (always took a little bit longer than planned because the need for an ice-cream every 100 meters)
- Beach by the house perfect for small children
- The Aquapark in Torrevieja was perfect for small children - the one in Benidorm is bigger though
- We discovered Cartagena a little late - we wished we had seen more of that city - but will see more of that city next time.
- Water Jets - Great fun but expensive
All in all Derek, we had a beautiful holiday, a great house located just perfect in La Manga, we have a strange feeling that we have not rented your house for the last time.

Thank you for letting us stay at "Villa on the Beach". We had a lovely holiday, the villa was so spacious it was perfect for our large party. The location was idyllic.
We would definitely recommend it to others, especially if they had small children, because the Mar Menor is so safe for them to play in . The water temperature was amazingly warm and the "healing mud" was fascinating!
It was a great holiday, enjoyed by all of us, including five 17-19 year olds – what better recommendation can you get!

The Villa on the Beach...
My family and I have just spent two wonderful weeks at the Villa at La Manga.
The name is exactly what it says!! The villa overlooks a beautiful marina and lagoon, which we found we could relax and not worry about the children as it was completely safe.
The villa and furnishings were extremely comfortable, and the small TV room in the basement was ideal for the children to cool down and keep out of the midday sun.
The area itself is predominantly Spanish, and the restaurants and bars were just a short walk away... fabulous! But, I might add most of our evenings were spent just on the patio with the barbecue at full stretch! Overlooking the lagoon and enjoying the warm, barmy evenings was just perfect for us.
I will finish off by saying that we wanted a completely relaxing holiday, just totally "chilling" and that is exactly what we had!!!

The villa is beautiful
... and we have all had a fantastic time.
The weather was super and it was nice to be able to leave the children digging in the sand whilst we sat on the patio relaxing, we felt they were safe. The view from the patio is fabulous.
